Atlanta, GA (April 18, 2025) – A collision on I-75 South near Exit 259 in Atlanta, Georgia, resulted in one driver being injured earlier today. The crash, which occurred around 7:00 a.m., involved a silver Toyota Camry and a black Chevrolet Silverado.
According to initial reports, the driver of the Toyota Camry was traveling southbound when they attempted to switch lanes but misjudged the distance between their vehicle and the Chevrolet Silverado. As a result, the Camry collided with the rear side of the Silverado, causing both vehicles to veer off the highway and come to a stop on the shoulder. The driver of the Toyota Camry, a 34-year-old woman, was transported to a nearby hospital with a broken arm and whiplash. The driver of the Chevrolet Silverado, a 47-year-old man, was not injured.
The Atlanta Police Department is investigating the cause of the crash. Early reports suggest that the driver of the Toyota Camry may have failed to signal properly or misjudged the speed of the vehicle in the adjacent lane, leading to the collision. Traffic was slowed for about 25 minutes while authorities cleared the wreckage and restored normal traffic flow.
